Lisa Stevens began practicing yoga in 2013. She became convinced of yoga’s health benefits when she noticed an increase in flexibility, improved balance and a stronger core. More than the physical benefits, Lisa loved the positive, calming effect of pairing yoga postures with breath. Not only could she achieve some stillness and peace of mind on the yoga mat, but she could take that sense of calm off the mat and into her fun/crazy/busy life as a stay-at home mom of two daughters. Lisa decided to become a teacher after back surgery in 2014. She was encouraged to use yoga to heal from the injury and found it a great adjunct to her medical treatment plan. Lisa is eager to share her knowledge and experiences of yoga with people of all fitness levels. For seniors, children, serious athletes, and anyone in between Lisa wants to teach the benefits of yoga to everyone.
