Desiree is a native of Montgomery, and after living in Fort Lauderdale and Seattle, settled back in Montgomery where she worked for the state government. She retired from government service in 2015 and began taking fitness classes. In 2017 she led her first yoga class and was hooked. Desiree says yoga is unique because it improves flexibility and balance. Her personal experience found adding yoga her fitness routine helped lowering high blood pressure and cholesterol. Desiree practices self-care and sees in herself and her students how a mindful yoga practice improves the mental, physical, and emotional aspect of our everyday lives.
