Therapeutic ElementsThis is a great class for anyone in chronic pain, or is recovering from injury. Students wishing to regulate their central nervous system and to deepen their breath (pranayama) practice find this class helpful. The class is a gently and powerful way to improve core strength. Students will: 1. move slowly through deep and gentle postures to recover strength, stability and range of motion 2. Work in the supine position 3. Engage relaxed effort engaging the bandhas (energy locks) to build core strength 4. Improve pain management via relaxation and breath 5. Move through yoga postures with the breath.
